Welcome to the Traveling Yogi blog. A couple years ago I decided that instead of buying souvenirs everywhere I went, I would take pictures of myself doing yoga poses during my travels. If you know me, then you know how much yoga means to me and you also know how much I love to travel. Besides creating a memory of a location, I have found that taking pictures of myself doing yoga around the world has also helped me connect with other people. I travel alone on occasions and during those travels I have to reach out to a stranger to ask them to take my photo of me. This usually sparks an interesting conversation. On other occasions locals and other tourists simply approach me after they observe me doing a yoga pose and question me on what I am doing. It is a neat way to start a conversation with people that I might have not talked to otherwise.
I want to start this blog by thanking all the random people and many family members and friends I have coerced into becoming my photographer and partaking in my mini yoga photo shoots. This blog and my amazing travel memories would not be here without you. I love you all lots!
Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.
